Lars and the Real Girl (2007)

  • Much better than I was expecting.

  • It also managed to completely keep my attention, despite my expectations.

  • A mix of creepy and sweet, but managed to mostly stay on the side of sweet.

  • Emily Mortimer plays the woman I wish I was, but well, I guess I’m not.

  • Patricia Clarkson was the psychologist I wish I could be.

  • Ryan Gosling was good. He and Emily Mortimer managed to keep things on the sweet side.

  • There was more to it than I expected.

  • I liked how they revealed aspects of the film over time. Very well done.

  • I really really enjoyed it, until the end. Although it was a fine ending, I think it could have been better.
