Five Random Facts About Me
This is going around, (like here and here) so I felt like doing it.
My first kiss wasn’t until (seriously) seventh grade, and I (think) his name was Dave. I actually could be wrong about his name. I didn’t like him very much. I actually liked his friend, Joe, but Joe had a girlfriend. I was scared out of my mind. It still wasn’t my first french kiss, though! :-o
When I was still in preschool, my dad took me to get my hair cut, never actually telling me how much hair was going to be cut off. I walked out of there with a chin-length hair cut and full of furious anger. After that I made him promise to never make me get my hair cut short again. I have had long hair ever since.
My parents were never very strict about what I could and couldn’t watch, and they let me watch rated R movies and MTV when I was quite young. This includes seeing movies like Pretty Woman and Indecent Proposal before I had any clue what sex was. My mom loves to tell the story of how after I saw Pretty Woman in 1990 in theaters (when I was six) with my father, I called her to ask her what a prostitute was. I don’t think she told me. I’ll be the first one to tell you that watching a rated R movie does not cause you to want to do what you see on screen (please refer to the first one).
Sort of related to the last one, I have never tried a drug. Even if I did see them on TV from a young age.
When I was in gradeschool and all of those little computer diaries started coming out (the CASIO “My Diary” and such). I would buy them, read the insctruction manual and only use them for maybe a week. I just really enjoyed learning how to use them. From there, my mom let me buy these huge books about computers (along with my Babysitter’s Club books) that I would actually read. What can I say? I thought everyone else wanted to read them, too.
