Apologizing In Advance For *The Btichy*
I haven’t been writing here because I already converted my old entries to Mephisto and thought I was switching over asap. Hopefully next week sometime.
Now on to some bitching (mostly)…
I might be bringing my Macbook Pro to the Apple Store tomorrow, and they might take it to fix it. My cat accidently flipped my computer off my desk a couple weeks ago, and while it still works perfectly pretty much, the closing latch in the front is a bit stuck. You can close the laptop, but it doesn’t really stay closed. Also, I think it might have something to do with why my computer was randomly shutting off on computer power. Now with the new battery it lasts much much longer, but still shutsdown instead of falling asleep when the battery runs out. Which means I might be without a computer for a bit. So I’m cloning my drive right now. I wish you could rent a macbook while they have yours in for repairs or something. I’m going to loose my mind without it.
I have officially applied to my first grad school. Scary.
I am disappointed so far with most of the American Idol contestants. Will still be watching, though, of course. Wonder what will happen with this one?
The tv show Psych is ending its season next week. This makes me sad. Really sad.
One of my professors has blocked my IP. Not just my email address, but my IP, so I can’t just use another email address. This is great considering he makes us submit all of our assignments by email. I reset my router in hopes that it will serve my computer a different IP. I should also mention I strongly dislike him in general, and I always like my professors. He is a dick, and he knows it. A severely disabled girl in my class and handed him an extra credit assignment and he wouldn’t accept it because it was single spaced. He clarified this by saying “I know, I’m a hard-on”. He is just so disrespectful. So disrespectful.
I am trying to find a way to have a pretty looking cached twitter update through Ruby on Rails (specifically Mephisto). I am thisclose to emailing people I don’t know about it because it is driving me nuts.
I actually have been developing my ruby skills a bit and have been getting some (little) things done. I’ll get into that when I finally switch over to Mephisto.
I had a bunch of things I wanted to post a few days ago, but there is just so much stuff to do. So it is just going to have to wait a few. But it’ll get here, it’ll get here.
As clichè as it sounds, I feel a bit better.
