Incipio Feather iPhone Case
I figured I’d only try it for a couple of days and then go running back to my Slider. However after two weeks, I have to say that I’m sticking with it. Overall I really love it.
It is thin. Its really thin. Compared to a slider, which I thought was a decently thin case, its incredibly slim. If the case didn’t have a lovely texture to it, you might not even realize it was there.
The texture really is lovely. It has a soft-mate feel. It is easily the nicest feeling case I’ve used.
The stops case itself stops below the chrome on the phone. At first it made me nervous, but now I’m getting used to it. I’m aided by the fact that the case came with two rather nice screen protectors. I would never use this case without a screen protector. The screen protector does not cover the chrome, but since the case lies so flat against the phone, if your phone does hit the floor face-down, the case will not prevent the screen from getting hit in any way.
I had read reviews of the white feather case that complained of it getting dirty and being very difficult to clean. After two weeks, I have not had any issue with this. However I tend to only keep my phone in a special pocket in my bag, so most of the time it doesn’t really have an opportunity to become dirty. So far it has stayed white with no issues at all.
I went in being pretty skeptical about this case, but all in all, its just a lovely case. I have posted more photos of the case on my flickr, check them out! :)
*Cinema — The Wreslter
The Wrestler (2008)
Extremely good.
This is just the kind of movie that stays with you. Hours after, you’ll still be thinking about it (even if you’re not sure why).
Mickey Rourke is just plain incredible. The role was just made for him. I still wish he had won the Academy Award for best actor.
Marisa Tomei did a great job too.
Its rare that something could be so fundamentally sad but not really make you upset.. just.. bothered.
*Cinema — Adaptation
Adaptation (2002)
So I saw this when it first came out, and I finally happened to watch it again.
I couldn’t really remember that much from the first time, but regardless I feel like I got more out of it the second time around.
The story is really fantastic. I just ate it up this time around.
This is definitely one of Nicolas Cage’s least annoying roles. Also he apparently wore a fatsuit during the entire filming. I thought he looked pretty muscular for someone who was supposed to oafish.
Meryl Streep was really fantastic. I’m not a huge fan of her normally, but really she did a great job as Susan.
Its just so unique, just so creative.
Apparently Donald Kaufman was the first truly fictional person nominated for an Academy Award. How cool is that?
The Wire Seasons One & Two
Season one was superbly done. Season two was also great.
Season one was just so intense. Season two was a bit less intense, I think its simply because the pace of the season was a bit slower.
The parts that upset you really upset you. It can be just plain difficult to watch.
Griggs, McNulty, Bunk, Freeman, Daniels, D’angelo and Omar… just awesome, awesome characters.
The amount of drinking on this show matches the amount of cursing on Deadwood.
The ‘fck’ scene in season one was my favorite few minutes in any crime show ever. (I’ve watched *many many crime shows).
I hate the show for some of the stuff it does to some of its characters… but I’m sure that all of the crap that this show does to its characters makes me love it even more.
Its just a beautiful show. So engrossing.
Psych Season Two DVD
-
My favorite line of the season is courtesy of the old lady dancing with Gus in The Old and the Restless…
Old Lady: Now, spin me…
Gus stands still with a strange look on his face.
Old Lady: Marvelous! There has never been a show that has made me so happy. Ever. Its a little weird.
Shawn mentions to the detectives he got a 100 on the detective’s exam when he was 15 years old. That should really be a huge clue that he is not a psychic, but actually just an extremely good detective.
Has anyone else noticed that Shawn and Gus on the front cover of the DVD are so photoshopped that they’re barely recognizable (especially Shawn)? However they’re not photoshopped on the back cover or on the DVD menus. Odd.
The audio commentaries on the DVD are actually pretty entertaining.
The deleted scenes, however, are pretty disappointing. In the commentaries they mention how much great extra footage they had gotten for a couple of episodes, and those episodes had hardly any deleted scenes.
A highly enjoyable DVD set.
Canon SD750
Sample pics! Yay!
Rose, taken with my new camera this morning. It was taken in full natural light, no flash. The flash was set to automatic, and I’m pretty sure for the first time ever with a Canon camera, it didn’t apply the flash. I was impressed.
My iPhone 3G, taken with my new camera. This also has no flash.. though it tried to use it this time (taken in a different area).
My new camera, taken with my new iPhone. Pretty!
*Cinema — Charlie Wilson’s War
Charlie Wilson’s War (2007)
Much much better than I was expecting.
Tom Hanks was brilliant.
Tom Hanks looked much better than Julia Roberts.
Phillip Seymour Hoffman had some fantastic lines.
Completely entertaining and worthwhile.
Enjoyed Amy Adams, makes me want to see Enchanted even more.
Seemed like such a balanced politician, which was refreshing.
Well written, acted, timed, and directed.
Watching Julia Roberts separate her lashes with a giant safety pin was scarier than anything in No Country for Old Men.
Impressive.
*Cinema — Superbad
Superbad (2007)
Super f*cking funny.
The whole McLovin joke just never got old.
Even funnier than I was expecting.
Fantastically dirty.
The only thing I missed was the fun chemistry of Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd. Bill Hader was still funny though, of course.
Incredibly funny and dirty. What else could you ask for?
*Cinema — Stardust
You can totally see why Matt loves Neil Gaiman’s books.
A perfect fairy tale.
This had to have been the first time in years that I had watched a movie with Claire Danes as a main character.
I had no idea that Victoria was played by Sienna Miller. This is because I had no idea what Sienna Miller looked like. I’m sure I’ve seen things with her, but I never take note of her for some reason…
Even when she was supposed to look young, Michelle Pfeiffer at times still looked a little old. Overall of course she looked gorgeous, though.
If only we all could meet pirates like Robert Di Niro. We’d all be so happy.
Just lovely.
*Cinema — The Prestige
The Prestige (2006)
Intense is an understatement.
All the acting was just crazy impressive. Jackman, Bale, and Caine were fantastic.
Left me feeling a bit uneasy.
Very well done.
